Gifted & Talented Students

These students may show extraordinary talent in one or a number of different settings. These could include Academic, Cultural, Sporting and Leadership.

Referrals to the GATE register can be made by parents, teachers from our partnership schools, the student’s current teachers, or the students themselves. Our goal is to encourage our GATE students to extend themselves by offering support, guidance, and opportunities to use their talents.

There are many opportunities offered such as Canta Math, Selwyn Drama Festival and the SGCNZ University of Otago Sheilah Winn Shakespeare Festival, junior choir, the voice with soul group, debating, Duke of Edinburgh Scheme, and filmmaking competitions.
