School values on show

While today has been a little quieter than earlier on in the week, there were still a number of students at school preparing for end of year assessments, intent on success.

Students could be found hard at work in the visual arts area preparing portfolios for final submission, and sitting with teachers receiving additional tuition as they continue with their examination preparation.

This is a great example of our rangatahi showing the Commitment that is such an important  component of their Achievement. A special mention too of the staff who have been in at our kura supporting our amazing students on their individual journeys towards success over this term break.

Our values are the basis for everything: Commitment, Achievement, Resilience, Respect.

Again this shows the appropriateness of our school whakatauki (gifted to us by Ngai Tahu):

Ki te kura te Huruhuru Ao o Horomaka – tena koe

“Mā te huruhuru, ka rere te manu’‘

Feathers enable the bird to fly

(Be prepared, have the right tools to achieve).
