2. Pathways: individual plans for individual needs
i. Students are guided to take a longer term view of their learning goals and to plan for their future.
ii. Students are actively involved in and take responsibility for their learning.
iii. Students are provided with many opportunities to experience new activities and environments.
iv. The HHS curriculum and pedagogy are balanced to meet the diverse needs of students and integrates with HHS's partnership schools.
3. Qualification results, particularly NCEA, are above the national average.
i. HHS is focused on success for all students.
ii. Students believe they can achieve academically.
iii. Families and caregivers support their children to achieve at the highest levels possible.
iv. Preparation for NCEA begins in Years 7-10, and before.
