Assistant Principal – 4xPMU, 1PMMA

The successful applicant will:

  • Have a proven record in educational leadership and a commitment to personal excellence.

  • Have strong organisational and logical thinking skills, along with the ability to think outside the box.

  • Have strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with ākonga, staff, whānau, and the wider community.

  • Have a sound understanding of digital technologies for education.

Hornby High School is a large co-educational state school situated in the vibrant heart of Hornby, Christchurch. We are a Manaiakalani Learn, Create, Share school. The incumbent will be expected to support a range of annual and strategic plan targets, both pastorally and academically. We expect strong interest in this position, including internal applications. The Assistant Principal will be expected to teach some classes (state teaching strength). The successful applicant will have the opportunity to participate in the school’s professional leadership and management growth programme.

The position commences at the beginning of term 3, 2024, or by mutual agreement. Interviews will take place during the first two weeks of term 2. An application pack is available from www.hornby.school.nz
